Under the close supervision of the County Recorder, or designated administrator, serve as a customer service representative assisting customers in person, over the phone and via email with maps and recorded documents.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
General: Field and direct all phone calls to the appropriate person or office, take payments, communicates with customers via in person, written correspondence, and by telephone. Performs data entry and scans documents. Reviews and prepares mail for recording. Reviews, accepts, and records electronic documents. Examines and records documents presented in person at the recording desk. Balances cash drawer and prepares deposit daily as directed.
Records Management: Emails document copies as needed. Uses microfilm readers to prepare copies for customer. Uses imaging system to prepare copies. Scans maps as necessary.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education: High School or equivalent.
Experience: Some general office experience. Will be trained on the job.
Skills: General computer skills, 10 key, type 30 wpm, and cash handling skills preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively with various types of people (bilingual preferred but not required).
