Under the general supervision of department head, assists with all aspects of the front of theater house duties. Cashier, historian, box office sales, private boxes, and assist house manager as needed.
(Any one position may not include all of the duties listed, nor do the listed examples include all duties which may be found in positions of this class.)
Box Office sales, cashier, balancing cash drawer, filing cash reports, assist with Will-Call during events, answer phone inquiries, run ticket sales reports, log sales deposits, record events from newspaper in the scrapbook, house manage events as needed, assist with ushers and seating of patrons, ticket taker at events as needed, assist with scheduling volunteers for events.
Other duties as assigned.
Education: High school graduation or equivalent.
Experience: Six (6) to twelve (12) months cashier or similar experience preferred.
Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge: Knowledge of general ticket sales/events, knowledge of basic computer skills.
Abilities: Ability to work any shift or as needed (irregular hours based on events), ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions, ability to balance cash sales and deposits, ability to stay organized and problem solve while remaining friendly with patrons, ability to complete assignments within a given time frame.
