Weber County Ice Sheet - Learn To Skate Coaching Staff
Listed below are Weber County Ice Sheet employee coaches who teach Learn To Skate Classes, as well as Private Lessons. This list is meant to serve as a resource for parents who would like to increase their child’s involvement in skating through participation in private/semi-private coaching that will allow skaters to compete in competitions and take US Figure Skating tests to move up levels in figure skating.
The Professional Skaters Association and The Wasatch Figure Skating Club also have resources that will help you choose the coach that best fits the needs of your child. You may also consider having trial lessons with a coach to see how they interact with your child and how your child learns from them. Please keep in mind that our staff coaches are private contractors and all scheduling, rates and terms of service are set by them individually. When contacting a prospective coach please ask about their rates for; lessons; competition prep; competition and test session attendance; and travel rates for out of town competitions and/or test sessions they may require their students attend. To inquire about lessons with a coach please contact that coach directly. If you have questions regarding proper procedure for changing coaches, or how best to benefit from ‘Team Coaching’ (when there are more than one coach who use his/her expertise to more fully develop the skater) please visit the Professional Skaters Association webpage. If you have any questions please contact our Programs Director, Todd Ferrario; (801) 778-6354.
Happy Skating!
