The 2016 General Election will be conducted by mail. Active registered voters start receiving their ballots between the 22nd and 26th of October. Secure ballot drop boxes will be located throughout the county during the month leading up to Election Day. Voting Assistance Centers will be open on Election Day for any voter who did not receive a ballot or who needs assistance casting their ballot.

To check your registration status go to vote.utah.gov and click on the My Voter Profile tab. All registered voters, regardless of their party affiliation, are eligible to participate in the General election.

Important Deadlines

  • Oct. 11 – Last day to mail in a registration form.
  • Oct. 18 – First group of ballots mailed. Ballots will start arriving somewhere between the 22nd and 26th of October.
  • Nov. 1 – Last day to register in person or online to vote.
  • Nov. 3 – Last day a by mail ballot can be sent out.
  • Nov. 7 – By mail ballot postmark deadline.
  • Nov. 8 – Election Day, polls open at 7am and close at 8pm. Ballot drop boxes also close at 8pm.
