OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF WEBER COUNTY
Tuesday, March 11, 2008 - 10:00 a.m.

In accordance with the requirements of Utah Code Annotated Section 52-4-7(1)(d), the County Clerk records in the minutes the names of all citizens who appear and speak at a County Commission meeting and the substance “in brief” of their comments. Commissioner Bischoff moved to approve the consent items; Commissioner Dearden seconded, all voting aye.
E. Action Items:
1. Contracts by/between Weber County and the following entities for RAMP Grants
Candadai Seshachari, RAMP Chair, stated that 130 requests had been received for a total of $10 million and $3 million had been distributed. He noted that RAMP had $100,000 left over and was considering allowing children free admission to certain activities during the summer on Saturdays.

Roy City - C2008-99 Commissioner Bischoff moved to approve Contracts C2008-96 through C2008-99 between Weber County and the above listed entities for RAMP grants; Commissioner Dearden seconded, all voting aye.
2. Contract to provide bailiff & security services to the District and Juvenile Courts - C2008-100
Weber County Sheriff Brad Slater noted that this contract was different than the previous ones because the State had merged the bailiff and security services for the Second District and Juvenile Courts. The Sheriff’s Office had finally succeeded, starting with this contract, in billing against the actual services provided and for services not to exceed the amount of funds appropriated. Sheriff Slater also noted that this contract was effective July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008.
Commissioner Dearden moved to approve Contract C2008-100 to provide bailiff security services to the District and Juvenile Courts; Commissioner Bischoff seconded, all voting aye.
F. Assign Pledge of Allegiance &Thought of the Day for Tuesday, March 18, 2008, 10 a.m.
G. Public Comments:
Sheriff Slater commended the County Roads Department for the great job they had done this winter in removing the huge amount of snow and keeping the roads clear.
H. Close the public meeting for the purpose of discussing the purchase, exchange, or lease of real property
Commissioner Bischoff moved to close the public meeting for the purpose of discussing the purchase, exchange, or lease of real property; Commissioner Dearden seconded.
