On March 7th 2017 the Weber County Commission passed an ordinance entitled “Surveying and Survey Monuments.” This ordinance will have an effect on Professional Land Surveyors, Professional Engineers, Developers, and Land Development Contractors who work within Weber County’s boundaries. GOMission Statement
The mission of the Weber County Surveyor’s Office is to maintain, perpetuate, and build the public survey systems and public records, which safeguard the location of real property rights and promote public welfare, by performing our duties as set forth in state statute and county ordinance.
Duties of the County Surveyors Office
- We establish, reestablish, and maintain survey monuments at all corners of government surveys, benchmarks, and control stations and keep records of those monuments.
- We act as a reviewing agency for subdivisions of land, within unincorporated Weber County, and final local entity plats (annexations) countywide.
- We serve as a repository for all Record of Survey Plats and corner records countywide, and provide copies of those plats and records to the general public.
- We perform, or arrange for the performance of, all survey work of county owned property, and execute all orders directed to the county surveyor by any court.
