Our Purpose

The Purpose of the Weber County Building Inspection Department is to protect the safety and the health of the citizens of the unincorporated areas of Weber County by doing plan review and field inspections to ensure compliance with the adopted codes. Please feel free to call with any questions you may have.

Plans will be reviewed for code compliance and to establish the permit fees. All items must be completed before the plans will be accepted and reviewed for compliance. Allow fourteen working days for plan review. Plans are reviewed in the order that they are received. When approved, a permit will be issued and work may begin.

Inspections must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. The approved plans must be on the site for all inspections. When scheduling an inspection you will need the owners or contractors name, address, permit number, type of inspection and a phone number where you can be contacted. We schedule the inspections on an A.M. P.M. basis. The A.M. inspections will be from 8:30 A.M. to 12:00 noon, and the P.M. inspections will be from 12:00 noon to 4:00 P.M.
