! SCAM ALERT: FRAUDULENT CALLS TARGETING INMATE FAMILIES!!

Scammers are contacting family members of individuals in our care, falsely claiming that their loved one is in jail and providing a bail amount, then asking the family to pay the bail via Venmo or other payment platforms. This is a scam.

The Weber County Sheriff’s Office will not contact family members to let them know they can post bail. We also do not accept payment via Venmo, PayPal, Bitcoin, or any other payment platforms.
