Weber County Notice of Intent to Adopt Amended Impact Fee Facilities Plans, Amended Impact Fee Analyses, and an Amended Impact Fee Enactment
Sanitary Sewer
A sewer master plan was developed so that it is understood where the lifts station would need to be located and where all the main sewer trunk lines would run and at what depths they would need to be at as to minimize the lift stations that would need to be installed.
Then this map was analyzed as to the areas that we felt would be developing in the next 10 years. Then it was looked at the amounts that would need to be done in these areas to ensure that the necessary depth of the sewer is achieved and what the cost would be in addition to what the developer was already going to have to do. This amount was developed and analyzed by the consultant to come up with the amount for each impact fee.
Storm Drain
We had two storm drain master plans that were looked at and analyzed as to what upgrades would need to be done as a result of development. Then those upgrades were analyzed by the consultant to come up with the amount for each impact fee.
Roads
A transportation master plan was done prior to this update being started. The consultant looked at that master plan for the roads and what would need to be upgraded due to development. Then those upgrades were analyzed by the consultant to come up with the amount for each impact fee.
Trails
There is an existing trail master plan. County staff assessed the map as to what trails should be developed in the next 10 years. Then the consultant looked at the amount of trail and the cost to develop the impact fee for the trails. Using this data the amount was established for each impact fee.
