The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training program provides participants with information about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area. It teaches basic disaster response skills such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, disaster psychology, and disaster medical operations.
The training is divided into two parts:
- An online, self-paced independent study
- In-person hands-on classes

Summary

Format
Online CERT training is a series of 8 self-paced modules and quizzes to be completed ahead of the first in-person class date. Course progress can be saved and resumed later. The online course Certificate of Completion is required to attend in-person classes. |

4 consecutive classes held on Thursdays 6:00-9:00 at the Weber County Training Center (1387 Depot Drive). In-person class series are typically only offered twice a year. Attendance is required at all classes to receive CERT certification. |
