Ogden Valley Water Master Plan:

The Ogden valley is one of Utah’s most sought-after places for families, retirees, and visitors to live and play. Its desirability has resulted in significant growth over the last several years with more future growth expected. The impact of this potential growth is of significant concern to water service providers throughout the valley.

Due to the large number of current water service providers and the growing number of stakeholders in the Valley, Weber Basin Water Conservancy District identified the need for a regional study to better understand the service areas, capacities, facilities, and future needs of water service providers in the Ogden Valley. Of specific interest to this study is the potential impact of growth on water resources and infrastructure.

Notice of Public Hearing on Sept. 21, 2021

Notice is hereby given that the Western Weber Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to consider public input on an application to rezone approximately 242 acres, located at approximately 2875 West, 2600 North, from the A-1 zone to the C-1, R-2, R-3, R-1-10, RE-15, and Master Planned Development (MPD) overlay zones. The rezone application is accompanied by an application to amend the unincorporated area's general plan to facilitate the proposed master planned development.

The hearing will be held on September 21, 2021 in the Commission Chambers on the first floor in the Weber Center, 2380 Washington BLVD, Ogden, UT. The meeting will begin at 5:00 PM. You can learn more about the application here: https://frontier.co.weber.ut.us/p/Project/Index/10442.

Western Weber Planning Area General Plan Update

Weber County is updating the Western Weber Planning Area General Plan for the unincorporated areas. Please visit www.westernweberfutures.org to take part in this monumental effort.

This plan will prepare the goals, objectives, and implementation strategies regarding future growth in these areas.

Moderate-Income Housing Report

Per SB-34 (2019), municipalities and counties are now required to provide an annual report to the state regarding progress made towards adopted goals outlined in moderate-income housing plans in order to qualify for various state funds. The following was submitted to both the Utah Department of Workforce Services Housing & Community Development and the Weber Area Council of Governments (WACOG) per the outlined annual reporting requirements of SB-34.

Ogden Valley Outdoor Lighting Ordinance

The following developments or renovation projects are required to comply with the Ogden Valley Outdoor Lighting Ordinance:

  • All new development in the Ogden Valley must comply.
  • Existing structures in the Ogden Valley undergoing modifications or renovations may require compliance.
  • Some cluster subdivisions in Western Weber are required to comply.

  • Western Weber Planning Commission meets second Tuesday each month at 5:00 p.m. with a pre-meeting at 4:30, work sessions are held the same night if scheduled.
  • Ogden Valley Planning Commission meets fourth Tuesday each month at 5:00 p.m. with a pre-meeting at 4:30, work sessions are held the first Tuesday of each month unless otherwise noted.
  • Board of Adjustment meets second and fourth Thursday each month at 4:30 p.m. as required.
