Community Reentry Fair

Tuesdays from 1–3 p.m., excluding federal holidays

The Community Reentry Fair brings local service providers together in one place, making resources easier for people to access. The fair is open to the public and provides participants an opportunity to learn about available resources and initiate services on site, such as completing applications and scheduling intake appointments.

Pre-Release Reentry Fair

Residents who are within seven days of their scheduled release date are placed on the list and offered the chance to attend the Pre-Release Reentry Fair held every Thursday inside the Weber County Correctional Facility.

Prior participation in any programs available at the Weber County Correctional Facility is not required. Available services may include help with Medicaid applications, information and connections to treatment providers and Utah Support Advocates for Recovery Awareness (USARA), and other community resources.

Administrator of Justice Programs

Laura Andelin, MPA, SSW, oversees Justice Programs for the Weber County Sheriff’s Office Corrections Division, including reentry, behavioral health, and substance use initiatives that support successful community reintegration and reduce recidivism among justice-involved individuals.

Laura has been instrumental in developing several innovative programs and partnerships, including Reentry Success Services, the Medication-Assisted Treatment program, Second Chance Housing, the Weber County Community Reentry Coalition, the Weber CARE model, and the High Utilizer Recidivism Reduction Initiative.

Her work focuses on strengthening collaboration across criminal justice, healthcare, housing, and community organizations to improve outcomes for people with complex needs.

Reentry Program Supervisor

The Reentry Program Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of and facilitates coordination between Reentry Success Services and related programs at the Weber County Correctional Facility.

The supervisor supports staff and community partnerships to help ensure residents receive consistent services before and after release.

Reentry Coordinators

Community reentry coordinators (CRCs) work with residents at the jail to provide case management, reentry planning, and connections with community resources.

Once a resident is assigned a CRC, the coordinator is able to continue working with that person after release when ongoing support is needed.

Peer Support

Peer support specialists draw on lived experience with addiction recovery, reentry, and navigating community systems to provide encouragement and practical guidance.

They help participants identify goals, build confidence, connect with resources, and strengthen a support network during the transition back into the community. Peer support complements the services provided by community reentry coordinators and community partners.
